Do You Have What It Takes to be an AFA EAP Representative

Do You Have What It Takes to be an AFA EAP Representative?

Date: January 18, 2017
Type: AFA Article

Many Local Councils are looking for AFA EAP Representatives.  Basic AFA EAP Training is scheduled to be held in Charlotte NC, from Tuesday, April 4, 2017 through Thursday, April 6, 2017.

AFA EAP Representatives offer emotional support and assistance to Flight Attendants, their partners, and families, whether the issues are of a professional or personal nature. Peer counselors provide assessment support and referral services for a wide range of issues such as domestic abuse, depression, and work-related stress. Representatives  also provide conflict resolution, coaching and strategies to those in need. Flight Attendants are encouraged to contact the EAP Committee to resolve conflicts with flying partners rather than requesting action from management.

Flight Attendants interested in becoming an AFA EAP Representative should contact their Local Council to discuss their interest with their Local Council President.  For more information about the AFA EAP Program please visit unitedafa.org/afa/eap.
